Orchards Legacy Walnut Tree Noyer is a selection by Earl Young from Lyons, NY.  The nut is well filled, large, and round in shape. The tree is healthy, hardy and vigorous growing. It has good walnut blight resistance and drought tolerance. It is mid-season ripening and holds its leaves well at harvest. Self-Pollination and we pair 2 seedling trees that will ensure pollination overlap.  Produces sweet tasty walnuts in years 5 to 7. Grow Zone 6a to 8. Height up to 50 feet, and width up to 30 feet.

Health Benefits

Walnuts are exceptionally nutrient-dense tree nuts, uniquely rich in plant-based omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid) and antioxidants. Consuming just 30 to 60 grams (about a handful) daily can significantly reduce inflammation, lower bad (LDL) cholesterol, and support brain, gut and metabolic health.

Instructions

1. Plant your Orchards Legacy Walnut Tree in deep fertile and loamy soil.  If your planting spot has compacted soil of clay, that you can amend it with peat moss to loosen up the soil.  Although these are self-fertile that a second walnut will increase production.

Bloom Schedule and Pollination

Female Flower May 15 to May 31

Male Flower May 15 to May 31

Our Orchards Legacy Walnut Tree Noyer are grown from a proven seed source from Niagara Ontario.

These seedling trees are self fertile, but to ensure pollination that a second tree helps with production.
